The interest in team sports and figure skating is once again providing the Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams with the opportunity to offer a great experience for skaters through the Star Mates Intermediate Team.
As Hayden skaters, they have the unique opportunity to be part of the country’s premier synchronized skating organization. The Star Mates are coached by Saga Krantz, the Professional Skaters Association's 2008 "Coach of the Year" for Synchronized Skating and winner of PSA’s first ever EDI Award for synchronized skating, which recognizes the top team performance at the 2010 U.S. National Championships.
Hayden’s coaches have earned their professional credentials from USFS and the Professional Skaters Association, the two accreditation organizations for figure skating. "Synchro is the Experience for a Lifetime."
Like all the Hayden teams, the Star Mates give back to the community through their volunteer work. They have already participated in the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's 13th Annual 5K Run/Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer this year.
The Star Mates are high school age skater-athletes who as a team want to help grow as individuals, improve as competitive skaters and lend their support to help make Synchronized Team Skating the next “Big Thing” in competitive figure skating.
