NEW ENGLAND CHALLENGE CUP Saturday, February 26, 2011 Hosted by the Hayden Recreation Centre FSC Boston University's Walter Brown Arena at Case Athletic Center

 

 

Admission

Tickets will be available at the door. $12 for Adults and $10 for children under 12 and senior citizens.

Awards

Awards will be presented Off Ice with the exception of the Collegiate Challenge Cup which will be presented On Ice at the conclusion of the event. Awards are given for first through fourth place. A celebrity panel of unofficial judges will be selecting and presenting special awards for "Most Theatrical", "Best Presentation", "Best Team Spirit" and more.

Banners

Teams are welcome to hang banners throughout the arena.

Doors Open

Doors open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Event Schedule and Practice Ice

The Chief Referee reserves the right to make schedule changes as needed throughout the competition. Unofficial Practice Ice will start at 2 p.m. followed by IJS Practice Ice.  Competition will begin at 2:00 p.m. All competitive events will be completed by 10:00 p.m. Chief Referee will post the final event schedule here during February.

Medical

There will be a medical station at ice level at the ice exit/zamboni doors. For any skater with existing medical conditions, please have team managers keep all medical forms inside the rink at all times. All injuries should be reported to the medical volunteers immediately. Please advise if there is a skater with any special needs for special medical conditions.

Parking

There are multiple athletic events on campus, plan for traffic and limited parking. Look for metered spots, small parking lots and parking garages on campus including the Harry Agganis Parking Garage - $1/hr (see the "Details for Competitors" link above).

Registration/Credentials

The Registration Desk in the Case Athletic Center Lobby will be open at 1:00 p.m. One team designate will sign for the team information package. All coaches will sign for the coach package. Teams should register and submit their music at least one hour before the start of their event. Competitor, coach and two chaperone wristband admission passes will be provided for each team entered.

Snacks/Meals

Boston University will be opening their Concession Stand.
There are many restaurants within walking distance of the Arena.

Videotaping will be allowed at this event.
