The interest in team sports and figure skating is once again providing the Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams with the opportunity to offer a great experience for young skaters through the Shooting Stars Pre-Juvenile Team. The focus with these young skaters, ages 8 to 11, is to have fun while learning to develop their skating skills and enjoying a team sport. To show off their progress they’ll participate in exhibitions and competitions.
As Hayden skaters, they have the unique opportunity to be part of the country’s premier synchronized skating organization. The Shooting Stars are coached by Saga Krantz, the Professional Skaters Association's 2008 "Coach of the Year" for Synchronized Skating and winner of PSA’s first ever EDI Award for synchronized skating, which recognizes the top team performance at the 2010 U.S. National Championships.
Hayden’s coaches have earned their professional credentials from USFS and the Professional Skaters Association, the two accreditation organizations for figure skating. As the Shooting Stars progress throughout the year they will be exposed to a fun learning experience and connect with our more senior skaters who take these young skaters under their wing and share the joy of figure skating. At the end of the year they will have experienced many of the benefits and joys of synchronized team skating. "Synchro is the Experience for a Lifetime."
