HAYDEN SYNCHRONIZED TEAMS PARTICIAPTE in "RACE FOR THE CURE"
Haydenettes and Lexettes Join Thousands in 14th Annual Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation Event

Lexington, MA -September 10, 2006- On Sunday, September 10, 2006, the Hayden Synchronized Skating Teams (HSST) Haydenettes and Lexettes joined many other community members at the 14th Annual Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, "Race for the Cure", at the U/MASS Boston Campus, sponsored by the Komen Massachusetts Affiliate.

The Haydenettes are fifteen-time U.S. Synchronized Champions and have represented the United States in every World Championship since the International Skating Union (ISU) sanctioned the sport as a World Championship event in 2000. The Lexettes are the newest HSST team and will compete in the Junior Division.

"We were pleased to take part in an event that has come to emblemize the power of dedication and community involvement," said Saga Krantz, Haydenette's coach. "Of all the community focused participation that the teams will do this year, this important event begins the season and sets the tone."

The 14th Annual Boston Race for the Cure was a 5K run/fitness walk for survivors, families, friends and colleagues. This year, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation celebrates more than 20 years of patient advocacy, building awareness and raising funds for innovative research and community outreach programs. The Komen Massachusetts Affiliate, a not-for-profit organization operates under a local mission to celebrate, support and promote Survivors and Survivorship with proceeds going to local mission related projects and grants.
